Poetry: War and Peace
Friday 28 February in the tunnel at Nottingham Castle
Tickets: £4 in advance, £5 on the night (includes all events at the Castle)
Part of Light Night 2014
NWS members and the general public will be able to project poems onto a large screen inside the tunnel leading to Nottingham Castle. Lighting artist Andy McKeown will set up word and lighting effects.
As well as showcasing NWS members’ poems, we will display traditional and contemporary poems relating to war and peace on a large screen in the tunnel. We will also invite the public to respond to sets of images related to the themes. Some of these will be projected on the screen and after the event we’ll use contributions to write collaborative poems, which will be published on our website.
Have a look at the whole Light Night programme, and come along and visit us on the night! A ticket to the Castle includes a tour of Nottingham’s secret caves, as well as lots of other attractions, so it’s excellent value.
