Author branding day: Social media & website design feedback
April 8 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
10am-1pm, Becoming Social Media Savvy Without Losing Your ‘Self’
Whether you’re traditionally published or self-published an author platform is essential in the digital age. But how can an author succeed in doing this without spending every waking moment on social media? And what about blogging? How often should an author blog, and on what topics? This workshop will take you through the fundamentals of how to manage social media and grow your platform in an authentic manner, as well as helping you to set some short and long-term goals for your literary career.
1-2pm Lunch break
2-5pm, Author Branding & Social Media Presence – with Feedback
A poorly-designed author website or patchy social media presence speaks volumes to a prospective publisher or interested reader and can hamper an author’s writing career. In this workshop, Teika will look at examples of what makes for good (and poor) author branding and will offer feedback, tips and ideas to improve your own online presence.
